Melodie is inspired heavily by nature and all of its infinite wisdom. Since she was a child, writing and observing nature have been of great comfort. Combining the two has grown into a tremendous harmonious bond. Writing to inspire and relax the reader about the planet brings her joy. She believes observing the environment can help us shape our everyday lives and perceptions of what we choose to see. There is life all around us calling out for a second look and she wants to be the one to record it for all to read.
Her work has been featured in the Tiny Seed Literary Journal online. She has been writing poetry for over 15 years. Visiting museums, wildlife sanctuaries/conservation centers, art galleries, parks, libraries, and cozy cafes are her favorite places to be. Melodie’s recent hobbies include: solving jigsaw puzzles, coloring, and playing comfy games. Bird watching is something she is slowly getting into-weather permitting. She also loves spending time with her dog and has the sweetest fondness for faeries.
